Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences was established in the year 2006 and is a member of Pushpagiri Group of Institutions. It is however important to note that Pushpagiri Group of Institution were founded in 1959 as private funded healthcare centre. The college is also registered with the Dental Council of India and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, and has been able to become one of the leading providers of Dental Education in the region quite fast.

Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences has all the sought-after dental surgical educational courses. The college has an enrollment of 50 students every year to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course which qualifies them in the basic dental science. In 2013 the college further advanced its status by offering postgraduate courses and currently there are six MDS courses available which include, Prosthodontics, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. Moreover, the college has a Diploma in Dental Operating Room Assistant (DORA) course which further adds on its educational programs.

The college has an effective Physical plan and facilities that are aimed at enhancing the learning process of the students.
