Mamata Medical College, established in 1998, is situated in the heart of Khammam municipal corporation limits in Telangana, India. The college is strategically located near major transportation hubs, including Hyderabad and Amravati (Vijayawada) airports, which are 180 and 130 kilometers away, respectively. The campus, spread over 40 acres, includes a college building, hospital, hostels, and various other facilities.

The college boasts a substantial infrastructure with a built-up area of 90,935 square meters, comprising four floors that house individual departments, four gallery lecture halls, a medical education unit, and separate common rooms for boys and girls. The campus offers extensive facilities for students and staff, including hostels for undergraduate, internee, postgraduate, and NRI students, as well as residential quarters for staff members. Additionally, the campus is equipped with a bio-waste management plant, water shedding units, and a sewage treatment plant (STP).

One of the highlights of Mamata Medical College is its central library, which occupies 8,840 square feet and provides a seating capacity for 300 individuals. The library includes separate sections for staff, postgraduate students, and journal reading, along with a digital library that offers access to nearly 619 online journals through platforms like NTRMEDNET, INFLIBNET, and HEINET. It also features facilities for photocopying, bookbinding, and lamination.

Mamata Medical College has a strong academic record, with students frequently achieving gold medals, distinctions, and first-class honors in university examinations. The college emphasizes continuous academic improvement through study hour schedules for MBBS students and a mentor system to monitor progress. Faculty members receive annual training in medical education and evaluation, and the college provides tuition fee subsidies to 20 staff children and economically disadvantaged students each year.

Under the leadership of the Mamata Educational Society, the college has expanded to include postgraduate courses in various medical specialties and established the Mamata Super Specialty Hospital. The institution is proud to be one of the first in the state to receive "A" Grade accreditation from the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC).
