Government Medical College, Konni is a prominent medical institution located in Konni, Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. It is the seventh government medical college to be established in the state of Kerala. The college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences and is accredited by the National Medical Commission, Government of India.

History

The foundation stone for the college was laid on 26 January 2013 by Oommen Chandy, the then Chief Minister of Kerala. The campus, which spans 50 acres, was established with a budget of Rs 200 crore, funded by the State Government and a loan from NABARD. The Medical College hospital was inaugurated on 14 September 2020 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Since 2022, the college has been admitting 100 students annually.
