The Amrita School of Dentistry is situated in Kochi, Kerala in India. The dental college forms part of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University and was founded in September 2003. The Amrita School of Dentistry's policy strategies are in sync with those of the Indian Government which aims to prioritize the area of self-reliance in health care education while also enhancing India's international connectivity. These strategies and policies debuted in 2003 when the School began work in partnership with the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham strives to provide high education and research in its fields. According to its impressive contour, the School was establishing in Amirta Vishwa Vidyapeetham with a goal of Service entry set of almost 156400 square feet making it one of the largest dental institutions in Asia. All this creates the necessary infrastructure for the conducting of educational courses and clinical practice, which include preclinical laboratories, lecture theaters, conference rooms, offices and administration, and clinical departments for advanced treatment procedures. Along with classrooms, the Centers’ Colleges’ Libraries and Reading Rooms are also well designed, spacious, and conducive to learning.

Furthermore, the Clinic is able to model its rehabilitation program on the dental specialties offered at the School which includes studies in Orthodontics, Prosthodontics & Implantology, Conservative Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Medicine & Radiology, Periodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, and Public Health Dentistry. It also sponsors centers that are far flexible like in Craniofacial Surgery and Plastic Surgery for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery trainees which makes it dissimilar with most of the other dental institutions.
