Al-Badar Rural Dental College and Hospital, established in the year 1992, is located in Gulbarga, in the northern part of Karnataka. Al-Badar Rural Dental College today is doing remarkably well as it is associated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and sanctioned by the DCI. Sitting on a 6-acre plot on Naganhalli Road, a very impressive looking college spreads over a large grit of more than 125,000 sq ft comprising many dental departments, medical departments, lecture theatres, and examination rooms.

The college also provides Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of Dental Surgery as well. Furthermore, the MDS consists of the following specialties: Oral Medicine & Radiology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, and Oral Pathology & Microbiology and, which are 7 in total. For both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the total number of BDS seats is 100 and MDS a total of 22.
