The institute is affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, which is recognized by the National Medical Commission (formerly the Medical Council of India). The selection of students is purely merit-based, conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Spanning over 14.48 acres, the college campus is situated on Sayli Road in Silvassa and is well-connected by air, rail, and road transport. The campus houses a range of facilities including a medical college building, a central library, residential quarters, hostels for boys, girls, and interns, and various other necessary infrastructures. One of the key features of the institute is its association with the Shri Vinoba Bhave Civil Hospital, a facility that started as a Cottage Hospital in 1952 and has since evolved into a 650-bedded hospital, with plans to upgrade to 1250 beds. This hospital offers a state-of-the-art Accident Prevention cum Trauma and Emergency Medical Services unit, a 16-bedded ICU, six ultra-modern operation theatres, a dialysis unit, and specialized neonatal intensive care units.
