The Murshidabad Medical College & Hospitals is situated in the historic city of Berhampore which is located in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal India. This college started here in 2012 and was established by the government of India. For the past 20 years or so, the place has been providing services to the population of Murshidabad, Birbhum, and Northern part of Nadia comprising medical education and health care services. The college is associated with two major organizations: the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and the National Medical Commission (NMC) encouraging quality medical education.

The medical college was established by Rogi Kalyan Samity and is presently positioned under the leadership of Prof (Dr) Amit Dan, the Principal of the college. The college is located in the city of Murshidabad which is historically very important and gives students a chance to interact with the culture and work in an environment with lots of historical influence.

The college has three campuses, the main campus which contains academic buildings, the administration block, hospitals, staff quarters and student hostels which covers 32 acres and the second campus which has the nursing school and a Covid hospital with a capacity of 300 beds. The second campus is also relatively large and green which creates a lovely atmosphere for education. Students also get comfortable hostels with basic services, hygienic and wholesome meals are provided to students in the college canteen. The college also has transport service for travel.
