Initial Establishment: Initially started as an infirmary with 3 wards in 1851, it evolved into a Cantonment Hospital with 95 beds by 1900. By 1913, it became known as King Edward Memorial Hospital and grew into a teaching hospital for Gandhi Medical College in 1958.
First MBBS Batch: Graduated in 1959.
