Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC), commonly known as Tanda Medical College, is a prestigious public medical institution situated in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Established in 1996, the college has rapidly evolved into one of the premier medical education and healthcare centers in the region. The college is affiliated with Atal Medical and Research University and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), having received its provisional recognition in 2005 and permanent recognition in 2010.

The history of DRPGMC is deeply rooted in the philanthropic efforts of Rai Bahadur Jodhamal Kuthiala, who initiated the foundation of a tuberculosis sanatorium in Tanda in 1952. This sanatorium, inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, in 1958, laid the groundwork for the eventual establishment of the medical college. The foundation stone for the medical college was laid by the then Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sh. Virbhadra Singh, on October 23, 1996. Overcoming initial challenges, the college admitted its first batch of fifty students in 1999, and since then, it has seen over ten batches of students graduate.

The college has expanded its academic offerings to include postgraduate courses in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, with plans to introduce additional specialties in the near future.
