Barasat Government Medical College and Hospital located in Barasat of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, came into existence in 2022. Given its nature of providing medical educational and patient care services, it is involved actively in addressing the health issues of the local community as well as others.

Academic Programs

MBBS and DNB (Diplomate of the National Boards) courses in different domains of specialization DNB course are being offered at the college. The institution is looking for the endorsement from the National Medical Council (NMC) so that they may be able to commence the basis of MBBS as well DNB sessions from the academic year 2022-23.

The college of medicine and the hospital has adequate building with classrooms for academic purposes, hostel for male and female students, nurses’ accommodation, and staff accommodation for both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
