"Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune was established in February 1989, and has developed impressive as one of the leading Medical institutions of India. Initially, the College was affiliated to University of Pune and in April 1996 the Government of India granted it the status of deemed university in view of its academic accomplishments. The college in conjunction with the NABH accredited multispecialty tertiary care Hospital and Research Center is situated within the picturesque Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational Complex at Dhankawadi, Pune. Bharati Hospital

The attached Bharati Hospital is a NABH empanelled hospital, and offers sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. It has been commended for her role in treating the Covid 19 patients in conjunction with the Pune Municipal Corporation. This hospital has also been used as the teaching and research center for the students and staff whereby there are sufficiently equipped critical care areas that are like Emergency Medicine, ICU, NICU, PICU, and CCU and these provide emergency services. The hospital also has the distinction of having the first volunteer in the country who participated in the trial for the ‘CoviShield’ vaccine.
