Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), named after the philosopher and scholar al-Farabi, is a prestigious national research university located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Established on November 13, 1933, by a resolution from the Soviet Communist Party's Kazakh Regional Committee, it stands as Kazakhstan's oldest classical university. The university officially opened on January 15, 1934, and has since grown to become one of the largest universities in the country, with more than 20,000 students and over 2,500 faculty members, including numerous professors and researchers

KazNU's main campus, known as "Kazgugrad," is situated in one of Almaty's most picturesque areas, covering 100 hectares. It includes:
15-story main building: Houses the university administration and major departments such as history, economics, law, philology, and journalism.
Thirteen educational buildings: Total area of 165,000 square meters.
Scientific laboratories: Spanning 18,940 square meters.
