The Medicīnas un Dzīvības Zinātņu Fakultāte (Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences) at the University of Latvia represents a groundbreaking integration of academic disciplines. Established in 2024, this faculty merges the previously separate Faculties of Biology, Chemistry, and Medicine, along with several specialized institutes, including the Institute of Biology, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Institute of Cardiology and Regenerative Medicine, and the Institute of Clinical and Preventive Medicine.

Bachelor's and short-cycle studies include programs such as Occupational Health and Safety, Medicine (in both Latvian and English), Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nursing, Radiography, and Dentistry. For those pursuing advanced degrees, the faculty provides master's programs in Biology, Work Environment Protection and Expertise, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nursing, Sports Science, and Nutrition Science. Doctoral studies are available in Natural Sciences (Chemistry and Biology), Human Factors, Occupational Safety and Health, and Medicine and Health Sciences.
The faculty's physical presence is split between two main locations in Riga: Jelgavas iela 1, which hosts biology and chemistry study programs, and Jelgavas iela 3, where medical and healthcare studies take place.
