The Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) College of Medicine represents a significant milestone in Adventist medical education in Asia. Established in 2015 with support from Loma Linda University, it became the first Adventist medical school in Asia and the sixth worldwide within the Seventh-day Adventist denomination.

The inaugural class of the AUP College of Medicine consisted of 16 students - 9 male and 7 female - who began their studies in August 2015. This marked the culmination of collaborative efforts between AUP and Loma Linda University, which assisted with various aspects of the medical school's development including student admissions, curriculum planning, and faculty development.
Highlights
In June 2019, the AUP College of Medicine celebrated its first graduating class with a "Prima Lux" or "First Light" ceremony held in Silang, Cavite province, Philippines. This momentous occasion saw 16 students complete their medical education, marking a significant achievement for the institution .
The successful launch and operation of the medical school has garnered recognition within the Philippines. Dr. Doris Mendoza, the Founding Dean of the AUP College of Medicine, has been invited to serve on the national medical school accreditation body, reflecting the program's growing influence and reputation.
The establishment of the AUP College of Medicine builds upon a strong history of collaboration between Loma Linda University and AUP. This partnership dates back approximately 30 years when Loma Linda University's School of Public Health assisted AUP in developing its College of Health. The relationship further expanded in 2005 when Loma Linda University's School of Dentistry collaborated with AUP to establish its College of Dentistry.
